What a great find! We happened to stop in Germano's as we were strolling through Little Italy and loved our experience. We found seats at the bar and ordered cocktails and a few appertizers to share. The space was cute and cozy and there was a Sunday night musician there providing light background music. We loved it and will be back again soon!

Two of us came here last night to see a band and have dinner. The Old Part of Town is a great Americana-based country blues kind of band. Great covers and some decent originals too. We started with salads and two Peroni. I had the arugula and beet salad-- the beets were meh, the salad was fine. Then we had the lasagna & ravioli. I thought the lasagna was way too salty but delicious. The beet ravioli with mushroom ragu was to die for. The ravioli is so savory and delicious, with homemade pasta and just spot on flavors that make you happy to be alive. Seriously. Then, I did something crazy. Something I normally never do. I ordered...dessert. We split a flourless chocolate thing and dang it was good. The tickets for the concert were $30. The meal was about $100 with tip, and the parking was $10. This is not something I would pay for every weekend but every once in a while this is just fun. Thanks, Germanos, for a fine evening of great music and food!

The service was really good and we received our free mimosas for checking in on Yelp. I'm a picky eater and too many of the items aren't what you traditionally think of for Italian food. For example the bruschetta isn't tomato, onion, garlic and olive oil, it has eggplant, mushrooms and other mushy veggies on it. If you like seafood then you have a lot of meal options.

This is a great restaurant. The grilled artichoke is amazing and they serve a good Aperol Spritz (if you don't know, try it, sip prior to eating). The waiter (David) was outstanding, he was one of the best waiters we've had in a long time). The pasta dishes were what is to be expected, very good!! The atmosphere is really cool too. You won't be disappointed!!

I have ventured to Little Italy to try most every restaurant during work trips and Germano's tops the rest by a mile. Starting with outdoor seating and plenty of room for accommodation, this establishment is run the right way. Our waitress, Jeannie was beyond knowledgeable with the menu and a treat to speak with during our time. Our order was vast in attempts to sample a variety, this consisted of the Polpo, Calamari Fritti, Polpette di Maiale, Red Beet Ravioli (AN ABSOLUTE MUST), Porchetta, Egg Plant, Panna Cotta, Cheesecake & Tiramisu. The Red Beet Raviolis, all noodles and shells being house made, these were extraordinary. Followed by a close second, the Polpo. Perfectly seared with a phenomenal red pepper sauce. The owner came out to meet us as culinary professionals and made a point to expand on the details of each dish. All around an amazing experience. We will be repeat customers for years to come!

My co-worker and I were looking for a restaurant in Little Italy to have our staff Christmas lunch and we found it! The owner is a sweet man! He greeted us as soon as we walked in. The restaurant looks small but after he took us on a tour, we found it packs a big punch. Bar area and another room on the 1st for dining. Upstairs is a perfect room for our staff that sits 55. There is another room that they hold Cabarets on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings. They are sold out most weekends. I work for a Nonprofit. He told us he works with a local detention center, hiring nonviolent men to work for another company he has. Teaching the men skills they can use for future employment. Love him! My co-worker and I had lunch in the dining area on the 1st floor. Brought to our table was warm bread along with the most delicious olive tapenade, made with kalamata olives, my fav. Both of us chose specials for our lunch. She had the soup of the day to start, a huge bowl of chicken soup including farro, vegetables and beans. Then the Beet Ravioli, she loved both. Huge servings for $9.95. I had caesar salad to start. Then Margarita Flatbread. Both were very good. The flatbread was smallish but perfect after bread and salad. I'd surely order it again. I'm so excited we chose Germano's Piattini to have our staff party!

My partner and I came here for the cabaret show on NYE and we are so glad we did. What a lovely little restaurant. The decor was Italian art deco and it was dimly lit... very romantic setting. The upstairs opened right at 9pm and we were all ushered in. The check in process couldn't have been any easier. We had a table reserved without having to have even call in. They automatically assign your table when you buy your tickets. Service was slow and inconsistent but not terrible. It took a really long time for us to even be acknowledged by our waitress and the table next to us were finishing up their first course when we were finally just getting our beverages. We hadn't even been able to give our food order yet. This was really the only reason for the 4 out of 5 stars. The rest of our experience was fantastic. The show was great! The Cold Spring Jazz Quartet was playing. They were talented and funny and played some great original tunes as well as some covers. We liked them so much we bought two of their CD's before leaving. My boyfriend and I each for the prix fixe NYE menu so we could try a bunch of different things. We loved everything we ate and had fun doing so. We did not leave hungry either! The portions are generous. We look forward to returning to this restaurant again in the future.

Germano's is an old school, yet cute looking little Italian restaurant. Note that their dishes are on the smaller side. I ordered the Gamberi e Fagioli, which is grilled shrimp on a bean salad. While the two grilled shrimp were great, the dish is not worth it if you don't like beans. I also had the Tagliatelle al Ragu. It is their house-made tagliatelle pasta with their special ragu sauce with beef. It was a simple pasta dish, but I still enjoyed it. Service was great. The server and other staff were really attentive.

Welcome to Germano's Piattini, where every bite tells a story steeped in tradition and flavor. Nestled in the heart of Baltimore at 300 S High St, this Italian bar beckons diners with its charming ambiance and an extensive menu that caters to both casual aficionados and dedicated food enthusiasts.

Germano's Piattini is renowned for its small plates, perfect for sharing or indulging solo. Begin your culinary journey with their Burrata Flatbread, a delightful combination of creamy burrata paired with eggplant agrodolce and a zesty red pepper relish, all crowned with a drizzle of balsamic. Another standout is the Grilled Octopus, artfully prepared with crispy potatoes and a vibrant red pepper sauce that dances on the palate.

For those craving the taste of the sea, the Grilled Calamari is simply exquisite, showcasing the finesse of fresh squid kissed by lemon and extra virgin olive oil. Meanwhile, the Calamari Fritti offers a satisfying crunch, served with a spicy marinara sauce that lingers just long enough to tantalize your taste buds.

  • Brussels Sprouts: These are lightly fried and paired with creamy ricotta and pancetta, making them a memorable accompaniment.
  • Peperone Ripieno: A delightful cubanelle pepper stuffed generously for a robust flavor experience.

As for the flatbreads, they are a must-try. The Margherita Flatbread is a quintessential classic, featuring San Marzano tomatoes and fresh mozzarella. If you're in the mood for something richer, opt for the Tartufo Bianco, which combines earthy mushrooms and truffle oil that elevates the dish to new heights. The Prosciutto Flatbread will also satisfy those who enjoy a savory touch.

The salads here offer a refreshing balance to the heavier dishes. The Arugula Salad is a light mix of seasonal vegetables and farro, drizzled with lemon juice and EVOO, while the Caesar Salad speaks to the heart of Italian dining with its housemade dressing and Grana Padano cheese.

This venue is ideal for groups, families, or a casual evening out, with a variety of offerings that suit everyone's taste preferences, including vegan and numerous vegetarian options.
